First Commissioned Big Cake
This is my first commissioned cake!
I used the branches blossom and birds mould to make the decorations and it worked so well. It didn’t much icing to stop the sugarpaste sticking to the mould. It was so quick to use and I made all the decorations in about 1 hour. (I have loads left as I didn’t know how much I would need)
I started off with the flowers and the birds. The flying birds were a little tricky to begin with but after I’d made 10 it was a lot easier. The birds were simple and came out with no fuss. Where there was a bit of icing sugar left on the sugarpaste I used a wet paintbrush to take it off.
Next was a lot of leaves and these took no time at all.
So fast! I did all of these in about 5 minutes.
The top of the finished cake! I need a little more practice with the alphabet cutters.
