My Little Vegetable Garden

August 16, 2013Sew White

Growing my own vegetables, even if only a few as my garden isn’t very big, is so much fun. I have also found it very calming. It’s nice to grow things and see tiny seeds turn into something you can eat.

This year I’m growing beetroot (for chocolate beetroot cake), tomatoes, beans and blackberries. I also have herbs and rosemary growing all year round.

Here the gorgeous green leaves of the beetroot. These are the largest leaves I’ve had for beetroot and it’s my 3rd year growing them. I’m hoping the crop will be good!

I love opening them to take out the cute pods.
