Why do I write? – A blog hop
Thank you so much to Janice at Farmersgirl Kitchen for the nomination www.farmersgirl.blogspot.co.uk
I never thought when I started blogging I would make friends but I have made so many friends with other amazing bloggers including Janice. They have been fantastic inspiration and really make me want to be a better blogger.
I love meeting new bloggers through twitter and my blog and I’m looking forward to making more friends.

Why do I write?
I’ve always loved writing but had never thought of blogging until a friend told me I had to as she wanted my recipes and thought others would too. It took me a long to work out my style of writing and find what I loved writing about. I thought it would be more sewing and craft based but it turns out food and writing reviews was the path I chose. I love how personal blogs and all the blog posts I write are very personal. I write them exactly how I feel. I hate complicated recipes and decided to write everything down as easily as I could.
What I am working on?
I’ve got over 20 posts to write up at the moment. I am not very fast at writing them up but I am trying to get faster.
I’ve got lots of recipes coming up and a few more blog posts on free range chickens as I believe chickens deserve a good life for all the eggs they give us.
My raspberry fool www.sewwhite.com/raspberry-fool was my first photo of my food I really loved.
How does my blog differ from others of its genre?
My blog is really simple and I think it’s a good description of me. It’s a food exploration and shows what I am trying. It’s not over the top or too fancy. I don’t like food which is too complicated to make but I like it tasty. I will always try to have reviews which are honest whether I have bought the items or I have been sent them. If I don’t like something I will say. I am rather opinionated but always try and stay positive. I have been and I am working on my photography skills. I do get annoyed with my photography sometimes as it isn’t always good enough to show off what I’ve made.
I love getting excited about food and I really hope that comes across.
How does my writing process work?
I sit for a while, look at the empty blog post and the go and make myself a cup of tea. I come back to the computer find an image to put in the blog post and then suddenly the words arrive and I go a bit crazy. I get to the end and I re-edit a few bits. Sometimes I have so many words and I have to go back serious cut out a lot of the inner silliness I’ve written. Usually silly cat stories or stories of making a huge mess in the kitchen or food puns which I find amusing. I’m getting better at spelling too!
I use the words gorgeous and yummy far too much.
I hope you have enjoy what I’ve written about my life in blogging. I love talking about other bloggers so I’m nominating Blue Kitchen Bakes (www.bluekitchenbakes.blogspot.co.uk) and A Wee Bit of Cake (www.aweebitofcake.blogspot.co.uk) to take up the blog hop.
