Raspberry, blueberry and honey milkshake
I am a bit addicted to milkshakes and it’s amazing how much better I feel after having more milk and fruit in my diet.
This weekends favourite has been raspberry, blueberry with a blob of honey.
I’ve recently discovered how much better value it is to get frozen fruit and some supermarkets have individual fruits bagged up so I was very happy to get a bag of blueberries and bag of raspberries. I didn’t put them in the freezer when I got home though I put them in bowls in the fridge. I really don’t like frozen fruit in milkshakes without them thawing a bit. Two bags of frozen fruit lasts me for a week of milkshakes. The best bit about the frozen fruit unfrozen is you get gorgeous juice and the fruit seems to be so much more tasty than fresh. The juice really does add something delicious to the finished drink.
I use the large nutri ninja cup to make the milkshakes so I have enough for two glasses. Perfect for a morning break and afternoon snack.
For my milkshakes I tend to always start with just banana and milk and then add the interesting fruits on top.
– 1 banana
– 2 tablespoons of frozen raspberries– 2 tablespoons of frozen blueberries
– 1 tablespoon of honey
– Put all the ingredients in the blender and top up with milk to the max fill line or just covering the fruit.
– If it’s a bit thick add some more milk or a little water.
– Whizz up and enjoy x
