Easy Chocolate Brownies
Delicious and simple! My Easy Chocolate Brownies are a great thing to make and as they don’t take long but taste great. Best served still warm.
When I say easy I mean easy.
A lovely twitterer recommended making chocolate buttons to sit on the top of the brownies. Hard and soft chocolate sounds like a plan.
Chocolate Brownie Recipe
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 60 g Dark Chocolate milk works too
- 3 Medium Eggs
- 200 g Caster Sugar
- 60 g Self Raising Flour
- 30 g Cocoa Powder
- 3 g Baking Powder
Whisk your eggs and sugar, until light and almost doubled in size.
Melt your butter & chocolate in a bowl together over warm water making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Allow to cool slightly.
Sieve the flour, cocoa powder & baking powder together in a separate bowl and whisk into slightly hot melted chocolate and butter mix until no lumps. (you can whisk as brutal as you like at this point)
Fold the egg and sugar mixture in – make sure the chocolate is cool otherwise the eggs might start cooking.
Put in a lined baking tray with silicone/greaseproof paper.
Bake at 160c for 25 mins or until just until there is no wobble left when you move the tray.
Remove from oven and allow to cool and enjoy eating it.
A warm slice with vanilla ice cream is pretty darn good 🙂
