Quick Creme Fraiche and Rocket Pasta
After a long day or when you’re in the mood for something delicious and filling try my quick creme fraiche and rocket pasta. It is always a great meal and this recipe has been used for dinners and lunches for years in my family.
I love this dish and my family does too. It’s so simple and perfect for a fresh meal when you’re running out of time to prepare a massive dinner. The mix of the peppery rocket and creamy creme fraiche I find to be a great combination. However I know that it might seem a bit too creamy so if you want to add a little tartness to it squeeze in some fresh lemon juice over the top.
I love how this meal is so quick to make and tastes wonderful. Cook the pasta, drain the water and add the other ingredients in and mix. Serve and absolutely enjoy.

For a such a simple recipe it really does mix incredible flavours to produce a wonderful dish. It’s great no matter when you have it. It’s lovely on hot days when you want something quick and easy. However it’s also lovely cold in a lunch box.
Lemon Creme Fraiche Pasta
What makes this pasta dish so delicious is the lemon which cuts through the creamy creme fraiche. The cream has a soft taste and works so well with the citrus lemon. It mixed together either easily and doesn’t curdle or anything like that. The lemon really is the secret ingredient which makes this dish so delicious.

Creme fraiche is an easy incredible to use for a quick pasta dinner. You can simply stir it in and coat the pasta and serve. If you want to take it to the next level add the fresh greens and lemon citrus to the mix. You won’t be disappointed.
Salmon creme fraiche pasta
Salmon is a wonderful addition to this pasta. My suggestions for cooking it would be to pan fry on a medium to low heat with some lemon juice. Once it’s cooked, shred it and mix it into the hot pasta, creme fraiche and lemon juice. It will add some extra nutritious goodness plus taste lovely too.
If you don’t have salmon steaks then pull apart smoked salmon and add that in. If you can leave the smoked salmon some lemon juice and pepper for a few minutes too it will taste even better.
Mushroom creme fraiche pasta
If you want to add some mushrooms please do! They taste wonderful with the creamy sauce. Cook the mushrooms how you like them and add in. I would recommend gently frying them in a little butter on a low heat until they are soft and cooked through. Once cooked mixed them with the pasta before serving.
If you like roast mushrooms (they are divine) you can add them too. I have roasted a few mushrooms before and saved them for later to use in this pasta. Oven roast how you like then slice up and mix in.
Creme fraiche pasta
Creme fraiche is really easy to add to pasta sauces. You don’t need much and it coats the hot pasta in such a beautiful way. From there you can add some extra ingredients you have at home. Some sundried tomatoes work a treat, even some charcuterie or cured meat is good too. Some fresh greenery like rocket or mint works too.

Quick Creme Fraiche and Rocket Pasta
- 300 ml Creme Fraiche
- 80 g fresh rocket
- 2 lemons squeezed
- black pepper
- Cook the tagliatelle as per the instructions
- Once cooked, drain the pasta and add to a bowl.
- Mix in the creme fraiche, rocket, the juice of 2 lemons and pepper in to the bowl.
- Serve straight away.
