Meatball Pizza

I love pizza and adding weird and unusual ingredients makes them so much fun.

We recently cleared out the freezer and found a bag of Ikea meatballs. On the same day I had made the dough for pizza. Sometimes things come together when they should!

As the pizza is cooked at 200 for 20 minutes the meatballs were completely cooked and tasted incredible. I did cut them in half before putting them on the pizza mostly so they wouldn’t roll off but partly to make sure they cooked. I would recommend trying this at home. If you fancy making your own pizza here is my recipe for the base

Other weird ingredients I love on pizza – banana, apple, cranberries, sweet potato (precooked) and the opportunity to add to that list only grows!

What weird pizza toppings do you like?

Looks great. I also like to add some unusual ingredients when making pizzas but I have never tried adding meatballs. I’ll give it a try! 🙂

Pizza is great for using up odd foods. Meatballs are a definite winner x
