Sew White Glorious Soup food adventures January 1

January is the time to plan for the year and I’m thinking about where in the world I want to go and what food I want to try. Thanks to Glorious soups I’ve been having mini taste adventures from all over the world right from the comfort of my home.

Mexican Tomato and pepper

First up on my food adventures in December was a trip to Mexico with the Tomato  & Fire Roasted Pepper soup. It was a hot and rich soup which was lovely to enjoy on a cold and rainy day. There was a distinctive lime flavour which stood out but also compliments the pepper flavour. It had a hint of spice which worked really well in making this a bold soup which felt like a hug in a mug. I love Mexican flavours and I definitely want to visit Mexico one day to enjoy the flavours directly from the delicious source.

Moroccon spiced chicken

My second recent food adventure took me to Morocco with a Moroccan spiced chicken soup. It was delicious. I loved that the chicken was in large shredded pieces and the whole chickpeas were brilliant. A soup that is full of delicious ingredients you can identify while eating I enjoyed this one the most. I love the Glorious Meal Soups. They are so full of ingredients and flavours they are a joy to eat and are really very filling.

Mumbai Lentil

My last food adventure took me to Mumbai where I got to enjoy a lentil and chickpea soup which felt so healthy and warming. It filled me up and helped me to get over the flu. It felt like tasty medicine filled with a healthy twist, a lot of delicious ingredients which were filling and tasty. They describe it as soul soothing and it definitely was when suffering with flu.

As much as I’d love to travel the world trying the best dishes I can I’m a bit limited to London at the moment. Luckily there are some incredible places to eat from the furthest places on Earth without having to travel the miles.

So with a love of food where in the world should I plan to go? Where is the best place for food you’ve ever visited?

Let’s all go on #GloriousAdventures

These sound awesome! And perfect this time of year for a handy lunch to take to work.
For me it’s either Sardinia with awesome pasta and gnocchi and a really social vibe at dinner time, and every evening meal finished off with a glass of lemoncello or Mirto. Second would probably be Madrid, we ate at the oldest known restaurant and tried their special of suckling pig, loads of gorgeous tapas in the Mercado San Migueal too! Last up would be Turkey, I absolutely love their grilled meats and gorgeous salads. Couldn’t possibly choose one! Sorry!

I have to agree with Lisa above – I think the best food I’ve ever eaten was in Sardinia. Such gorgeous flavours! A close second though… travelling through the world on a culinary adventure in my own home. We eat a lot of Middle Eastern inspired food – love the spices!

I really love the idea of a food adventure in your own home. I think Sardinia has to go on the list now x
