For the first two weeks of January I am taking part in the Matcha Challenge. 1 cup of matcha everyday for 2 weeks.
It is a magical green tea. It’s organic green tea which has been ground into a very fine powder. It has a huge amount of health benefits including a very high amount of antioxidants – 70 times the amount of orange juice!
The two week challenge is meant to help with energy, overall health and an improvement to hair and skin. Five days in and I’ve already noticed I feel more awake and my brain power and concentration seems a bit better too.
You can have the tea in regular tea form but also cold. I find the taste a bit strong but mixing it into smoothies is fabulous. I love a strawberry and banana smoothie with matcha mixed in. I’ve got to try a few of the recipes on the teapigs website the matcha latte looks very good!
