I love a mix of olives, meats crackers and nibbles at Christmas. It’s great for picky eaters too as they can have exactly what they want, when they want it. I could easily eat these tasty things every day!

First up there has to be olives and my go to selection is from Fragata www.fragata.co.uk

As well as having tasty olives they also have a collection of garlics and lemon which are brilliant for cooking with as they are ready to go and last ages. The garlic is really strong and I love adding them whole to roast lamb dinners too. Keeping them whole helps those who don’t like garlic take them out but also gives the dish the garlic flavour. On a picking dish of olives the ones stuffed with anchovies and pepper was the most popular. Their Snack ‘n Olive packs are my favourite. A lovely size pack and a great way to keep olives fresh without them being oily. One pack fills a little bowl and one pack is also great for adding to pasta sauces or in bread.

For a quick snack with a cup of tea I’ve been enjoying Whittard’s spiced star biscuits £4.50 www.whittard.co.uk/spicedstarbiscuits They are like a crumbly shortbread cookie and the added mincemeat and spice is so delicious! They are lovely dunked into tea!

An adult snack or a children’s dinner over Christmas wouldn’t be complete without Disney’s Frozen pasta shapes from Crosse & Blackwell! Enjoy Olaf, Elsa and Anna shapes plus some beautiful snowflake shapes too!

If you are a chocolate fan these tasting bars from Willies Cacao are so lovely to snack on plus they make a perfect a lovely gift. The Venezuelan Gold was my absolute favourite in the 5 wonders box. www.williescacao.com/5-wonders . The box set I believe is a great deal for £10.99 as you get five different bars to try and they are all different enough to appreciate. The packaging is so cute too! A lovely gift set!

If you’re having a few nibbles you can’t forget the crackers and crisps. The rice crackers from the Snack Organisation presents are really delicious. They are light and have a good crunch. The flavour on them too is just as much as you’d want them to have. The chilli flavour crackers really compliments the Fragata olives and is definitely my favourite thing to snack on with a glass of sparkles at a party.

The best subscription box I’ve come across for foodies this year has to be the Degustabox  www.degustabox.com A monthly box of the latest new food treats to try from drinks, pickles, popcorn, chocolates, sauces and even vouchers to pick up a few fresh items too. I love mine and get so excited to see what the large box holds when it is delivered. I’ve also discovered a few brilliant brands which are now my family favourite list. A £12.99 a month or as a one off gift. Above is the contents of the November Degustabox. I can’t wait to see what is in December’s!

I was sent these items to review. All opinions are my own.

Olives are so good. I think I might have to get a few more packets to make sure I have enough for Christmas 🙂
