Love Wimbledon’s Tennis Big Screen

It’s Wimbledon tennis time again and the fabulous people at Love Wimbledon have given the town a gift of a wonderful big screen to watch the tennis on. It was a huge success last year and it’s lovely to have it back again!

Today in the Piazza the screen was up, the sun was out and the deck chairs were all ready to be sat in and the tennis enjoyed. The team at Love Wimbledon were dressed in lovely summer dresses and were dishing out strawberries and cream to the very warm people doing their shopping and admiring the screen.

After the success of the Morrison’s sign saying Murrisons last year it’s back up too and it’s lovely to see it again.

I had a little sit down to watch the screen and test out the deck chairs. They were really comfy.
I suspect it will be busy from early on each day of the tennis so bring a blanket to sit on just in case.

Along with the deck chairs there are also two brilliant fake grass sofas to enjoy the tennis sat on. These were the first to go this morning and have been occupied all day.

Love Wimbledon were giving out strawberries and cream this morning. How generous!

Plus the strawberries were called Straw Murrays..good pun Morrisons!

This year Love Wimbledon also have their own rock candy! I love these and can’t wait to try them.

Let the tennis begin! Come on Andy!

I must admit, I am not a fan of tennis, but I do like watching other sporting events on a big screen with lots of other people. It is always a great atmosphere.

I agree it makes an event more fun when watching with others 🙂

Can’t say I’ve ever been a bit fan of Wimbeldon, but, somehow, every year I do find myself watching a couple of matches. That big screen does look pretty cool though and who doesn’t love a punnet of fresh strawberries 🙂 x

Wimbledon is the only sport I really like especially when there are strawberries to have while watching.
At least watching the tennis in the town centre the strawberries for sale are a lot cheaper than at Wimbledon Tennis!
