This no bake reindeer tart is the cutest Christmas chocolate tart you can make this Christmas. It's an easy to make chocolate tart with only 4 ingredients for the main tart plus the pretzels, sprinkle eyes and M&M nose to make it festive. By using a shop bought pastry shell or making this a chocolate tart with digestive biscuits you can make this chocolate tart entirely no-bake (fridge bake). An oven free Christmas dessert for the whole family.
1largepastry tart case/ tart shell(approximately 8inches. You could also make your own with shortcrust pastry or digestive biscuits. See notes below)
250mldouble cream / heavy cream
300gramsmilk chocolate(you can use dark chocolate too. Or even a mix of dark and milk.)
40gunsalted butter
16edible eyes sprinkles(available at most supermarkets)
salted pretzels
8redM&Ms
Instructions
Remove the tart cases from the packaging or if you fancy making your own shortcrust pastry tart cases get these ready-made baked and cooled before starting on the filling.
Break up the 300g chocolate pieces and add them to a bowl and add 40g of butter.
In a saucepan warm up the 250ml double cream until it starts to bubble. Do not let it boil. Keep stirring.
Pour the cream over the top of the chocolate and butter. Leave it for 1 minute and then slowly mix together until everything is melted and mixed together.
Place the tart case on a baking tray or chopping board to keep them level. (Also easier to move).
Spoon the chocolate mixture into the tart case leaving a small gap from the top.
Once the chocolate tart has setted slightly, use a knife to mark the 8 pieces. I did in quarters and then quarters again. You don't need to cut deep and it does help to keep all the decorations neatly in what will be each slice.
Start by adding the 8 red M&Ms in the middle and two pretzels for each nose around the edge. I angled them in so each slice would be easy to cut without cutting through them.
Finish off by adding the eyes.
Leave the chocolate to set and when it's firm it's ready to eat. It's also fine to eat when it's still molten.

Notes
I used ready-made tart shells for this recipe as it makes them so much quicker to make.If you want to make your own tart cases then follow my shortcrust pastry recipe. Have them made, cooked and cooled before filling. You can use M&Ms or Smarties or even a dried cranberry for the nose.
