Ingredients

  • 8 original glazed Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
  • 200 g Strawberries
  • ice cream we used birthday cake ice cream from Ben & Jerries it is delicious
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Heat up the waffle iron (I have a Von Chef which works very well but can take a while to warm up).
  • When the waffle iron is hot add the doughnuts in and close the lid. You might want to hold the lid slightly so they don't get too squashed. As they are already cooked, you are just warming them up so they take about 1-2 minutes at most.
  • Remove from the waffle iron and decorate with delicious ice cream, sprinkles and fresh fruit. Serve straight away and enjoy.

Notes

As the original glaze doughnuts are super sugary, the heat of the waffle iron will cause the sugar to melt. This can be really messy and it takes a a while to clean after. I found using greaseproof paper on the top and bottom of the doughnut caught a lot of the molten sugar which made clean up even easier.
