These ghost strawberries are the cutest healthy Halloween food idea you can find. Their eyes give them such character and to me, they are definitely more cute than spooky but either way, they are a lovely addition to a Halloween feast. Children will love making these spooky strawberries and bringing their own creativity to the funny faces.
1pack of edible eyes sprinkles(available in most supermarkets)
0.5teaspoonvegetable oil(optional)
Instructions
Wash and dry the strawberries. Make sure they are completely dry. If they are still damp the chocolate won't stick.
Melt the white chocolate in 10-second bursts in the microwave. Stirring between each burst.
Place a sheet of greaseproof paper on a baking tray.
Stir the white chocolate. If it is melted but thick and hard to dip then mix in the vegetable oil. This will make the white chocolate smoother and easier to dip. However, it will take a little longer to set.
Dip the strawberries into the white chocolate and place on the greaseproof paper.
Leave the strawberries to harden in a cool place.
When they are set, melt the milk chocolate in a bowl in 10-second bursts.
Use the milk chocolate to stick the eyes on the strawberries and draw little mouths or other features.
Store somewhere cool, best served on the day they are made.
