601 Queens Road is the latest restaurant and bar to open in Wimbledon. The beautiful venue on top of Wimbledon’s Centre Court is a stunning place to visit with views over the town and their food and drinks are delicious.
The drinks
The cocktails were incredible!
On the left is the Peach Ice Tea, made with Ketel One vodka, Early Grey tea and fresh peach. It was sweet but also drew on the superb tea flavours which balanced it perfectly. Far too easy to drink in the sunshine when relaxing.
On the right.. I can’t remember exactly but it was incredible. I might have had a few of them. It was a very sharp drink with a great amount of lime which worked really well with the minty taste.
The Canapés
The canapés were unlike anything I’ve ever had at a party before. There was so much food going round to all the guests and every bite was full of flavour, texture and even smelled beautiful. The individually wrapped fish and chips with a few chips, piece of fish and a super herby sauce. The kebabs were also delicious and the little herb and chilli salsa on each one had a little piquancy which complicated the cool creamy dip it went with. There was also a roast vegetable mix on toast with a sprinkle of toasted chorizo. There was also a salami and ricotta on toast topped with a fresh fiery red chilli to add a zing to the bite.
Yes there were more canapés! sausage rolls, always a classic and party favourite. In the second photo is the courgette and apple hummus. A light yet taste packed bite to enjoy with the cocktails. Parmesan and cauliflower croquettes was the final of the savoury canapés we enjoyed. I thought it was great planning on 601’s part to cater for so many vegetarians who were very excited and some shock that there was enough for them.
I got attend the launch party with some amazing women including these free lovely ladies.

Bite size dessert
The last little delicious bite we got to enjoy was the chocolate brownie dipped in chocolate and dusted with coco powder.
These were delicious! Also a huge bite size. I think there was about a 5 bites in these.
Cheers to a lovely evening. I’ll be writing my full review of the food soon so stay tuned.

What a classy looking venue.
Very classy!
Looks like you had a great time. Those cocktails sound delicious! I love peach iced tea – especially if it is boozy!
That looks like a lot of fun and what a pretty terrace for summer celebrations.
It is so beautiful. No matter the weather it seems to shine!
Those canapes do look delicious! I love the idea of mini kebabs and the parmesan and courgette croquettes. Yum.
croquettes are only something I’ve recently discovered. Haven’t found a bad one yet!
