I have been busy sewing up a Reindeer Christmas Cross Stitch cushion with pom pom trim. The original pattern is from Cross Stitcher Magazine.
Ive shared my image of my finished reindeer cross stitch cushion and I love it to much I wanted to blog about it too!
Once I had finished my cross stitch piece I wanted to make it into a cushion for Christmas. I had some gorgeous pom pom trim and luckily just enough gingham fabric to use as a backing. I’d never used pom pom trim before so I was a little nervous but it was gorgeous and worth the thousands of pins I used to hold in place.
I sewed the cushion all the way round and then unpicked a small gap to stuff with feathers from an old cushion. The feathers went everywhere! It was rather fun. If I didn’t have to clean up myself I would have thrown them around in a happy child way.

I’m very happy and I love having this on the sofa and cuddling up to it while gazing on our fabulous Christmas tree.
If you’re interested in the Christmas cross stitch pattern it is from across Stiticher Magazine November 2013. I’m sure you can find it online somewhere 🙂
Merry Christmas x

Thank you so much x I’m glad it was done for Christmas there was a moment when it might have been delayed until next year!
I’ve never sewn with pom pom trim but it really finishes the cushion off. So pretty!
I love how special it makes the cushion look. Worth the crazy amount of pins to hold it in place x
Very pretty! Well done!!!
I wish I could be a little crafty to do things like that!!!!
You should have a go. Cross stitch is really easy it just takes a while x
It’s just beautiful Sisley. As someone who does cross stitch myself, I know how long these projects take.
Thank you Stella. I love cross stitch but I wish I could do it quicker! It takes so long.
