The Fire Stables in Wimbledon Village has created a fabulous Christmas dinner and revealed their star dishes at a special launch party.
Christmas is just around the corner and Wimbledon is already on the countdown to festive food and drinks. I recently visited the Fire Stables in Wimbledon Village for their Christmas menu unveiling. Here is what tasty delights I enjoyed during the evening. There was turkey with all the trimmings, pigs wrapped in blankets and sensational salmon.
Fire Stables Christmas
Their Christmas Day menu is £80 per person for 4 courses plus champagne on arrival.
For their Christmas Day meal I would have to enjoy the Pheasant. Along with the smoked ham & tarragon croquettes. The apple & walnut salad and quince jelly for starters. Crown of English Rose turkey, honey glazed gammon, seared goose breast, pigs in blankets and bread sauce. Brussel tops & chestnuts for the classic Christmas dinner served goose fat roast potatoes and honey roasted carrots & parsnips. Pudding would have to be the Christmas pudding, brandy butter ice cream.
They also have a Christmas feast menu for the run up to Christmas. Perfect for family meals and office parties at £30 a head for three meals.
I am very tempted by the Cobble Lane cured beef & red wine salami, root vegetable remoulade, pistachios for the starter, Spiced cider braised pork belly, Bramley apple purée, red cabbage & cranberries for mains and for pudding the Salted chocolate, redcurrant & orange tart served with Jude’s caramel ice cream.
After this tasty treat I am already enjoying the countdown to Christmas and can’t wait to see what other restaurants will be doing for their festive menu.
