BBQ Grilled Pineapple

Hot pineapple is a delicious treat on a sunny day. Using the Le Creuset grill pan I went camping and made BBQ Grilled Pineapple on the camp fire.
This is a super simple and delicious treat for a camp fire or BBQ. Grilled pineapple is a favourite of mine especially served warm with cold ice cream. (I can really recommend the Waitrose White chocolate ice cream).

Using a Le Creuset grill pan for a BBQ
It was so juicy and smelled amazing. On the camp fire I used the Le Creuset grill pan. Link here. It’s a 30cm grill pan and is perfect for cooking a range of food on.
It can be a little trickier to clean than a non stick pan as it’s cast iron. However what I love is that once you’ve used it wipe it down with kitchen towel to get the most grease or moisture off. Wash it normally and then put it back on the hob and what ever is left will burn off. Find the full instructions for cleaning the pan from Le Creuset here.

Cooking pineapple on BBQ
I cooked the pineapple in the grill pan to keep the juices in and stop it from drying out before serving it. It also gave the finished pineapple the beautiful grill lines.

Just look at those golden brown grill lines! Corr Blimey. The sweet sugary smell was making me and my guests very hungry in anticipation.

BBQ Grilled Pineapple is a simple dessert but really stands it’s ground for fresh and fruity flavour.

What a great summer dessert idea. Love grilled pineapples. And with ice cream it sounds so good.

Ooh, that sounds wonderfully simple and wonderfully good. I have a new (2nd hand) griddle pan and have no idea how to use it. This looks like a good start.

Once you start griddling (is that a word) you will be addicted. We use it for everything now.

Once you try it you’ll make it all the time. Great of the BBQ food when you want pudding but no hassle.
