In my Old Frizzle Wimbledon review I look at the a wonderful place to visit. For catching up with friends for coffee, after work drinks or a delicious meal.
We visit The Old Frizzle for a pre-theatre dinner filled with character.
Sitting in the window seat of The Old Frizzle on a rainy night, toe tapping music plays in the background. I had a sparkly view of the New Wimbledon Theatre across the road through the curtain of lights. However it was the smell of delicious food that was on my mind.
The menu was large and varied in it’s range of food that included bar snacks, sharing dishes to large main meals including homemade pasta, squash risotto, chilli beef nachos and their incredibly popular sausage sharing platter.
I chose the Buccleuch beef burger with bacon, smoked cheddar and BBQ slaw, plus onion rings and French fries to go with it. For a drink I chose the berries and apple mocktail from the huge cocktail and wine list. It was beautifully fresh and full of flavour, and complimented the food beautifully. It was nice to enjoy a drink that felt so healthy and good for you on a dark cold night.
The Old Frizzle Wimbledon Review
The main meal of burger and french fries was a hearty dish beautifully presented but prepare to get messy! The size of the burger creates a challenge to eat but it is easy to tackle and worth the effort. The burger had a good meaty bite which worked so well with the rich creamy melting smoked cheese and hint of spice and crunch in the BBQ slaw.
The portions are generous so make sure you bring an appetite and save room for pudding! Their menu has six choices to choose from plus dessert cocktails. It is definitely worth sharing a slice of chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream or banoffee pie.
The Frizzle is a very special place with no where else like it in Wimbledon. The bar and restaurant offers a delicious menu perfect for a pre-theatre dinner with the family for a post theatre drink with friends to have a fabulous festive night out this winter.
The burger looks dreamy! I bet the bbq slaw tasted just as amazing as it sounds! Really need to go visit The Old Frizzle asap 🙂
You really do! The burger was so good. I loved it.
Sounds totally gorgeous. How interesting that you have Buccleuch beef in Wimbledon, I’m sure the Duke of Buccleuch would be delighted! Brownie ice cream sounds lush too.
It was so delicious I am definitely wanting to go back to have more!
The ice cream was seriously incredible!
Oh that burger really does look good! My sister lives close to there so I’ll pass this recommendation on to her!
The Frizzle is brilliant – so good for families but also forgoing out in the evening. They have the mix of uses down!
