Substitutions and variations
DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Ready to pimp your cranberry puff pastry rolls? When you add the dried cranberries I suggest that you try adding about 150g of dark chocolate chips too. the mix of dark chocolate and cranberries is amazing and this makes it a great puff pastry party food. The flavours go together so well, giving a rich dessert that balances both sweet and sharp flavours.
I would recommend reducing the amount of cinnamon if you do add the chocolate chips.
BLACKBERRIES AND RASPBERRIES
If cranberries aren’t enough or you want to change it up, try adding blackberries and raspberries into your cranberry twists just prior to rolling the pastry together. The fresh fruit mixes with the sweet and sharp cranberries and makes these cranberry puff pastry rolls better – if that’s even possible.
