These are the ultimate nutella stuffed cookie. Nutella stuffed Chocolate Cookies are a chocolate cookie with nutella in the middle, plus a little banana!
If you are a fan of chocolate cookies and Nutella then these are the cookies for you! The cookies on their own are absolutely delicious but are taken by the next level with the nutella centre. I also added a few slices of banana. I know it’s weird to some people but nutella and banana really work well together.
Banana and Nutella cookies
Banana and nutella work so well together so I really wanted to unite them in a bake. The banana goes gooey and makes the nutella even softer. It also helps me pretend that they are slightly healthier than they are. No harm in wishing!
Nutella stuffed Chocolate Cookies
These cookies are wonderful and best served warm and with a scoop of ice cream. Once they’ve cooled you can reheat them in a short burst in the microwave.
They will also last a few days in an air tight container. Keep them somewhere cool too.
Chocolate filled cookies
There are so many other things you can have stuffed in these cookies. For example you can use white chocolate chips, peanut butter or even chunks of aero!
I love nutella and banana slices on toast and wanted to turn that love of chocolate into a cookie.
I think that these have to be the best cookies I’ve ever made!
My family loved them and they disappeared very quickly.
Here is the nutella and banana in the cookie disc before rolling into a ball. It is a little bit messy but also wonderful.
The finished gooey centre cookies are the best! They look beautiful and even with that being enough the smell will make you dive right in. They will be calling to you as they bake.
I need to make these again as soon as possible!
Nutella stuffed Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 100 g unsalted butter soft at room temperature
- 100 g light brown soft sugar
- 100 g caster sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 200 g self-raising flour
- 20 g cocoa powder 40g works well too if you want a more cocoa cookie
- Tiny pinch of salt
- A jar of nutella – 1 teaspoon per tablespoon of cookie
- 1 large banana into slices and then cut in half again
Instructions
- Line a few trays with baking paper. I use 3 for this recipe as the cookies spread a lot.
- Cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and stir in well.
- Sieve in the flour, cocoa powder and salt and mix into a dough.
- Pop in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Remove from fridge and take a heaped tablespoon for each cookie. Roll into a ball and flatten into a disc. Put a heaped teaspoon of nutella in the centre of the disc and the banana (I put 4 pieces in). Roll the cookie back into a ball by pulling the sides in. Put on a baking tray, leaving a good distance between them as they will spread.
- Bake for 10-12 mins until the cookies are firm to the touch on the edges and still soft in the centre.
- Leave to cool slightly before enjoying.
