Creme Eggs are so popular that I couldn’t help trying to turn them into pancakes. The lovely Creme Egg stack of pancakes are easy to make and so moreish!
Creme Eggs are everywhere I can’t seem to ignore them so I’ve started adding to them everything. My latest trial was to see how they faired in a chunky pancake stack. Conclusion it not only works but it tastes pretty incredible. Very sweet as the Creme Eggs are so sweet anyway but absolutely addictive. I’ve made them a few times to make sure they really really work – definitely wasn’t so I could eat them time and time again.
Creme Egg Pancakes
Easter breakfast or Easter brunch needs these pancakes. They are fun and chocolatey and have Easter eggs in them and on them. What could possibly be better!
Can you believe over 200 million Creme Eggs are sold each year?! I think that will be going up once you’ve tried these.
How incredible does this look! By placing a Creme Egg on top of the pancakes once they are cooked the heat will melt the egg over the pancakes. Then you get this beautiful runny egg to dip your pancake into.
These pancakes only 20 minutes to mix together and cook. It’s so easy and perfect for making at short notice too. When you freeze the Creme Egg make sure you don’t leave it in for too long as when they become absolutely rock hard. I have found about 30 minutes to 45 minutes is the perfect time. When they are cooked the chocolate fragments become like chocolate chips. The egg centres melt slightly and going very gooey.
